Dr.Ing. Andrea EMMANUELE was born in Agrigento, Italy, on February 1, 1985. He received the B.E. and the M.E. degrees (cum laude) in Telecommunications Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in information engineering from the University of Pisa, Pisa, Italy, in 2006, 2008 and 2012, respectively.

Since 2009, he has been with the Department of Information Engineering, University of Pisa, where he is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. In 2010–2011, he was a Visiting Student Research Collaborator in the Radio Navigation working group at the European Space Agency (ESA)/European Space Research and Technology Center (ESTEC), Noordwijk, The Netherlands, concerning aspects on signal design for future GNSS. In 2010, he has also joined Wiser srl, Livorno, Italy, as a software engineer. 

His research interests are in the areas of digital communications, signal processing and estimation theory. His current research activities are mainly focused on satellite positioning systems, focusing on time delay estimation for satellite positioning systems and wireless communications.
